Whether you found Tiny Jesus unexpectedly, are thinking about placing one for someone else, or simply want to understand more about the movement, you may have a few questions. This section brings together the answers people are most likely to need, from recording a find and using the QR labels to privacy, safe placement, getting involved, project materials, media, and events. The goal is to make it easy to understand how I Found Tiny Jesus works, why certain guidelines matter, and how anyone who feels connected to the idea can take part in a thoughtful way.
I Found Tiny Jesus is a grassroots movement built around small Tiny Jesus figurines placed in thoughtful locations for others to discover. Each find creates an unexpected moment of hope and connection. Finders can record when and where the discovery happened and place a pin on the map, with the choice to add an optional story or photo about what the moment meant to them.
I Found Tiny Jesus was created by David Glennie, who turned a personal journey of struggle, faith, rebuilding, and hope into a movement designed to create unexpected moments of connection. The full story appears on About the Movement.
The movement grew from Christian faith and uses a Christian symbol, but it is not intended to pressure anyone or promote a particular church or denomination. Its public purpose is to offer hope, kindness, reflection, and human connection.
No. I Found Tiny Jesus welcomes people of every background, belief, and life experience. You are free to receive the moment in whatever way feels honest to you.
It means something very small can create a moment that stays with someone, changes the direction of a difficult day, opens a conversation, or helps another person feel seen. The impact belongs to the experience, not the size of the object.
I Found Tiny Jesus is an independent movement and is not affiliated with any church or religious organization. Fractured Atlas serves solely as the project's fiscal sponsor for qualifying charitable contributions and does not direct its mission, message, or activities.
Visit Share Your Find to record when and where you found Tiny Jesus and place a pin on the map. You may also add an optional story or photo about what the moment meant to you. No account is required.
Optional stories may receive light spelling, grammar, clarity, and formatting edits while preserving the finder's voice and meaning. Content that violates the Community Guidelines may not be published.
Yes. You can record your find without displaying your name. No account is required, and your name and email are optional.
Yes. You may add an optional photo when you record your find. Please share only images you have the right to use, and avoid showing recognizable faces — especially children — private spaces, addresses, license plates, or other identifying details without permission.
No. The date and location are enough to record your find and place a pin on the map after review. A written story or photo is always optional.
Yes. Contact information remains private and is used only for the permission or follow-up purpose selected by the submitter. It is never displayed publicly.
No. I Found Tiny Jesus is an ongoing movement, so you can record your find whenever you are ready — even if some time has passed since you discovered it.
A confirmation appears after a successful submission. Personal follow-up may occur when contact permission and an email address are included, but the project may not be able to respond individually to every submission.
Featured stories may be selected for their emotional meaning, honesty, creativity, or strong connection to the movement's purpose. A story does not need to be dramatic or widely shared to be featured — sometimes the quietest moments carry the greatest impact.
Yes, but only with their clear permission. Share only the words, photos, and personal details they have agreed may be included, and make sure they understand that the submission may appear publicly on the website or official social media.
Your find can still become part of the Interactive Map even if your written story is not selected for public display. Each submission is reviewed before the location is added, while any optional story or photo is considered separately. Whether or not the story is published, your discovery still matters and remains part of the movement.
That is completely welcome. Share the moment in language that feels honest to you. The movement welcomes personal reflection without requiring a particular religious tone.
Make sure the required date and location fields are complete, then try submitting again. If the browser location option is not working, enter the location manually. If you continue to have trouble, please reach out through Contact Us so we can help.

Take a moment with the discovery, then scan the QR code to record when and where you found Tiny Jesus and place a pin on the map. You may also share an optional story or photo about what the moment meant to you. You can keep the figurine or pass it along later — there is no wrong way to receive the moment.
That is okay. The figurine may be gone, but the moment still mattered. Its meaning comes from the experience — not from having to hold on to the object.
There is no formal claimed status. A figurine may have been found before, moved, or passed along. If you personally discovered it in a new place, you may record your own find. You do not need to track what happened before you encountered it.
That may happen, and it does not mean the placement failed. Once Tiny Jesus is left for someone to discover, what happens afterward is outside your control. Participants are not expected to return, monitor the placement, or confirm that it was picked up.
I Found Tiny Jesus is intended to offer hope, kindness, and connection, never to pressure or exclude anyone. We understand that not everyone will relate to the movement in the same way, and their feelings should be treated with respect. Any request to remove a figurine from a property or location should always be honoured.
Yes. Choose a thoughtful location where Tiny Jesus can be discovered without creating danger, damage, disruption, or litter. Keep figurines away from roadways, train or transit tracks, stairs, emergency equipment, construction areas, and any location where they could interfere with walking, driving, accessibility, or normal activity. Always ask permission before placing one inside a business, school, church, hospital, apartment building, event space, or other private or managed property. Avoid protected natural areas and locations where a figurine could harm wildlife, be mistaken for a hazard, or make someone feel unsafe. Leave Tiny Jesus loose and unattached to the surface where it is placed. Always honor a request from a property owner or manager to remove it.
Attach one official QR label neatly to the bottom or base of each Tiny Jesus figurine. Keep the label flat, clean, and secure, then scan it after attachment to make sure the code works before placing the figurine.
Use one of the official downloadable QR sheets on Join the Movement. The downloads are identified only by the number of QR labels on each sheet: 20, 25, 50, or 88. Choose the sheet whose label size best fits the base of the figurine you are using.
Yes. Cut each label cleanly and attach it flat to the bottom of the figurine with a small amount of old-fashioned glue or a clean glue stick. Sticker paper is another option and may make attachment easier. Allow the label to set, then scan-test the QR code before placing the figurine. Regular paper is not weather-resistant, so consider the expected conditions when choosing between regular paper and sticker paper.
Please use the official I Found Tiny Jesus QR labels when placing figurines for the public. Each QR code helps connect the discovery to the movement and ensures the find can be recorded correctly. If you are participating through an organization, partnership, outreach effort, or other coordinated activity and need a specially tracked label sheet, please contact the project before creating your own.
Yes. People of all ages can participate, but the figurines are small and may pose a choking hazard. Keep them away from babies and young children, and make sure children participate with adult guidance and supervision.
The figurines are made and sold by independent suppliers, and I Found Tiny Jesus does not own or claim rights to those product designs. The I Found Tiny Jesus name, logo, website content, original writing, artwork, QR label designs, and other branded materials belong to the project and should not be copied, altered, or used to represent an unofficial version of the movement without permission.
Please contact us through Contact Us before copying, changing, publishing, selling, or using any official I Found Tiny Jesus artwork, graphics, logos, or other branded materials outside their intended use. Written permission is required.

“How do we protect the spirit of the movement as it grows?”
Taking part feels better when the expectations are clear and the people behind each moment are protected. Community Guidelines explains the care, respect, privacy, and responsibility that help each placement, find, and shared moment remain true to the movement.
