Let's Build a Community — Guided by Kindness, Grounded in Respect, United by Hope.

I Found Tiny Jesus is built on kindness, respect, and shared hope. These guidelines are here to help every discovery, story, photo, placement, and conversation carry that same spirit. Please take a moment to read them so the movement can grow in a way that protects people, places, and the meaning behind each moment.

General Conduct:

  • Be kind. This project is built on hope, compassion, and unexpected connection. Bring that spirit into every interaction.
  • Be inclusive. Avoid political, controversial, or divisive commentary. The movement welcomes people from every walk of life.
  • Watch your words. Language should uplift, not alienate. Avoid content that could be seen as divisive, accusatory, or mean-spirited.
  • Keep it clean. Avoid profanity, vulgarity, or graphic content. Submissions should be appropriate for all audiences.

Find and Optional Content Guidelines:

  • Record accurately. Provide the real date and location of the find.
  • Share authentically. Use your own experience and voice. A brief moment can matter just as much as a longer story.
  • Share thoughtfully. Choose words and images that respect the privacy and emotional safety of the people involved.
  • Submit each find once. Include any optional story or photo with that same submission.
  • Use a person's name, personal details, or recognizable image only with their permission.
  • Submit only writing and photos you created or have clear permission to share.

Placement and Public Spaces:

  • Choose a thoughtful location that does not create danger, damage, disruption, or litter.
  • Ask permission before placing Tiny Jesus inside a business, school, church, hospital, apartment building, event space, or other private or managed property.
  • Respect religious, cultural, historic, and memorial settings.
  • Keep figurines away from roadways, train or transit tracks, stairs, emergency equipment, construction areas, and any location where they could interfere with walking, driving, accessibility, or normal activity.
  • Avoid protected natural areas and locations where a figurine could harm wildlife or be mistaken for a hazard.
  • Leave Tiny Jesus loose and easy to pick up, unattached to the surface where you place it. The moment is meant to be discovered, picked up, and carried forward.
  • Honor any request from a property owner or manager to remove it.
  • When possible, spread placements across different locations rather than clustering them in one immediate spot.

Privacy and Consent Guidelines:

  • Share identifying details only with permission. Keep exact home addresses, private-location details, names, phone numbers, email addresses, license plates, and other identifying information private unless permission has been given.
  • Review every photo for recognizable faces, children, private spaces, addresses, screens, badges, uniforms, license plates, documents, and revealing background details.
  • Obtain clear permission before sharing recognizable people, especially children or anyone shown in a sensitive setting.
  • Use Contact Us for a correction, privacy concern, story or photo removal request, or other content concern.
  • The public map should display a recognizable general location without publicly exposing exact coordinates.

Brand, QR Labels, and Project Materials:

  • Use I Found Tiny Jesus to offer hope and connection, not to advertise, solicit, or promote an unrelated product or organization.
  • Use the official QR labels so the finder reaches the correct website and can record the find.
  • Keep the official QR code intact, uncovered, and pointed to its official destination.
  • Attach the label flat to the bottom or base of the figurine and scan-test it before placement.
  • Request written permission through Contact Us before copying, changing, publishing, selling, or using official artwork, writing, QR label designs, logos, website content, visual designs, or branded messaging outside their intended use.
  • Keep official project materials separate from unrelated merchandise and commercial sales.

Legal Notices:

  • CAUTION: Tiny Jesus figurines are small and may pose a choking hazard. Keep them away from babies and young children. Children should participate with adult guidance and supervision.
  • The figurines are made and sold by independent suppliers, and I Found Tiny Jesus does not own or claim rights to those product designs. The I Found Tiny Jesus name, logo, website content, original writing, artwork, QR label designs, and other branded materials belong to the project and require written permission for outside copying, modification, sale, commercial use, publication, or use in an unofficial version of the movement.
